For over 30 years, John Angelo Meyer has been developing, building, reimagining, and managing spaces that are each as unique as their surroundings. J. Angelo Design Build maximizes resources and talent to create unique environments that are functional, beautiful, and extraordinary.
For John, designing and building has been a lifelong pursuit. After college, he began his career in property management, improving properties across the country. His 12-year corporate ascent in the Property Management Industry took him from historic skyscrapers in New York, to luxury residential buildings across Texas, and beyond. In 1993, he launched Modern Contractors, Inc—a successful commercial construction company that builds diverse projects across North Texas.
In 2004, John created J. Angelo Design Build and began incorporating custom, high-end design builds into his personal portfolio with award-winning projects across Texas and Arizona. John seeks inspiration from the world’s most iconic architectural settings. With extensive travel across Asia, Europe, Canada, Central America, and the U.S., John’s pursuit for both perfection and individualism is motivated by a myriad of architectural styles, periods, and cultures.

For John, designing and building has been a lifelong pursuit, and J. Angelo Design Build has been nearly 30 years in the making. John started paying his dues immediately after college managing and improving properties throughout the nation, as he climbed the corporate ladder within the property management industry for over 12 years.
After that, he spent 13 years honing his skills as founder and president of Modern Contractors, Inc, a successful commercial construction company that builds projects around North Texas. In 2004, after selling Modern Contractors, John created J. Angelo Design Build and began incorporating custom, high-end design builds into his personal portfolio with award-winning projects across Texas and Arizona. Today, John continues creating unique projects that are as individual as their owners.
Founding a successful construction company then a successful design/build firm was no accident. For years, John has sought inspiration from the world’s architectural hubs. With travel from Asia to Europe, from Canada to Central America, and throughout the US and the Caribbean, John has seen and experienced a myriad of architectural styles, periods, and cultures. Jack Meyer, President, brings a wealth of expertise to our residential home building projects. His involvement commences early in the design phase, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the project's vision. With meticulous precision, Jack oversees every aspect of construction, ensuring that each craftsman and supplier aligns with our design objectives.
Jack's journey to this role is marked by a rich tapestry of experience and education. He holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the College of Architecture at Texas A&M University, complemented by an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. His hands-on experience as a foreman at Modern Contractors, Inc, during his tenure at Texas A&M, provided invaluable insights into the intricacies of residential and commercial construction.
Moreover, Jack's tenure as an Infantry Officer with the United States Marine Corps further honed his leadership and management prowess. During his deployments to Iraq, Jack played a pivotal role in negotiating and overseeing construction contracts, contributing to the rebuilding efforts of war-torn cities and communities. His military service underscores his unwavering dedication to mission success and his ability to navigate challenges with resilience and resolve.
