Who This Is For

The First Step Is a Conversation

We start with a short introductory call.

This call helps us understand:

  • What you are trying to accomplish
  • The scale and complexity of the project
  • Whether your investment expectations align with the scope
  • The appropriate next step

This is not a sales call. It is a short conversation designed to align goals, expectations, and answer any early questions.

The Introduction Call Matters

Custom homes and large remodels are complex projects that require thoughtful planning. We take that responsibility seriously.

During the early stages, it is important to determine whether the project, design direction, and team structure align with how we operate. When design, budget expectations, and construction planning are not coordinated early, projects often experience redesign, cost surprises, and unnecessary stress.

Our role is to help align those elements early so the process moves forward with clarity rather than correction.

You can take a look at our portfolio to see what our detailed approach to preconstruction and construction results in.

What Happens After the Introductory Call

If the initial conversation suggests a potential fit, the next step is an on-site meeting and discussion. Let's take a look in detail at everything that happens after the introductory call.

On-Site Review and Site Walk

We meet at your property to:

  • Walk the site or existing home

  • Review your plans at a high level

  • Clarify scope, priorities, and expectations

  • Identify visible constraints or opportunities

  • Understand how your architect or designer is approaching the project
  • Continue evaluating mutual fit

This meeting is still part of the qualification process for both sides. We are assessing complexity, alignment with our expertise, and whether the project structure supports a well-managed outcome. If we collectively determine that moving forward makes sense, we proceed to a detailed Price Range Assessment.

Price Range Assessment

After the site meeting, our team performs a structured analysis of the drawings, site conditions, and project requirements. This is not a simple price-per-square-foot estimate.

To calculate your price range assessment, we:

  • Review architectural and consultant drawings in detail

  • Perform material takeoffs where appropriate

  • Evaluate structural and systems requirements and building complexity

  • Factor in site conditions, access, and logistical constraints

  • Apply current subcontractor and supplier pricing data

  • Identify major cost drivers within the design

  • Estimate the anticipated construction timeline

This analysis results in a structured Price Range Assessment that outlines the likely investment range, major cost categories, and key variables that may affect final cost. The width of the range depends on how developed the design is. More complete drawings allow us to produce a narrower range. Earlier stage drawings require broader allowances.

The purpose of this step is clarity. It gives you a data-informed understanding of what the project is likely to require before making any commitments.

If the projected range and overall direction make sense, the next step is to enter into a formal Pre-Construction Agreement. During preconstruction, we work closely with you and your design team to refine the design, align scope and investment expectations, and develop the detailed planning necessary to prepare the project for construction.
